Delivering Real, Tangible Community Benefits
Haven Oak Technology Park represents a major private investment in Dinwiddie County that is expected to:
- Generate substantial long-term local tax revenue to support County services, schools, infrastructure, and utilities
- Create more than 1,200 construction jobs over an expected five-to-seven-year development period
- Support more than 350 long-term onsite jobs across operations, maintenance, security, and technical roles
- Strengthen the local economy through additional indirect job creation in retail, services, and professional trades
- Fund needed road, utility, and site infrastructure improvements privately
Delivering Responsible Development
Haven Oak Technology Park is being advanced with a focus on long-term compatibility with surrounding properties and County goals. That includes:
- A minimum 100-foot Development Area Setback around the perimeter of the property
- Preservation of existing vegetation within setback areas to the maximum extent practicable, supplemented with additional landscaping where needed
- Site planning that keeps major buildings, substations, service areas, and internal operations within defined development areas
- Project-specific sound analysis and required mitigation to meet the approved sound standard
- On-site substations and utility infrastructure designed to reduce the need for long off-site extensions
- Protection of identified cultural resources, including Civil War-era earthworks and the on-site family cemetery
